She performs economic analyses based on microdata, mainly in regard to the job market.
María holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics and Public Sector Statistics from the University of Alcalá de Henares. She joined the Higher Body of State Statisticians in 2005. She developed her professional career until 2018 at the National Statistics Institute, where she held several positions related to the quantification and analysis of consumer and tourism spending. In 2019, she joined AIReF, where she worked on the evaluation of public policies, first as an employment policy analyst and then as Subdirector of Technical Analysis, coordinating projects from a methodological perspective. In 2023, she joined the Economic Analysis Division as an analyst.
