The public spending analysis project known as the Spending Review has its origins in the commissioning by the Government in the 2017-2020 Stability Program Update.
The 2018-2021 Spending Review took the form of three phases. The results of all three phases have now been published.
The Spending Review 2022-2026 has now been formally commissioned and is in the development phase.
Since August 2021 AIReF has a Public Expenditure Evaluation Division in charge of carrying out these projects and other studies commissioned by the different Public Administrations.
