Internal information channel
In order to comply with the provisions of Law 2/2023, of February 20, regulating the protection of persons who report regulatory infringements and the fight against corruption, the internal information channel (whistleblower channel) existing at the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility, AAI (AIReF), has been adapted.
This channel constitutes a tool available to any whistleblower – within the meaning of Article 3 of Law 2/2023 (i. e: AIReF staff, persons having a direct or indirect relationship with the institution [suppliers, external service providers, trainees, etc])-, through which information (communications or complaints) can be made about any actions or omissions that: (i) may constitute breaches of European Union Law; (ii) may constitute a serious or very serious criminal or administrative offence; or (iii) may involve a breach of the “AIReF Code of Conduct” or the “Code of Ethical Conduct and Institutional Integrity applicable to AIReF Public Procurement” .
AIReF’s internal information channel is designed and managed in a secure manner, guaranteeing the confidentiality of the informant’s identity and of the third parties mentioned in the communication, as well as of the rest of the actions and data protection, preventing access to unauthorized persons.
The way to use the Channel, as well as the information management procedure are described in detail in Resolution 9/2023, of June 1, by the President of AIReF, which adapts the Internal Information System and the Internal Information Channel (whistleblowing channel) of the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility, AAI to the provisions of Law 2/2023, of February 20, regulating the protection of persons who report regulatory infringements and the fight against corruption and approves the information management procedure.

In any case, the information may also be made through the external channel of the Independent Authority for the Protection of Whistleblowers, AAI; or through the external channel of the European Union (Spanish version).
