Accessibility Statement for AIReF’s website

In compliance with the provisions of the Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, in Law 11/2023 of 8 May transposing European Union Directives on the accessibility of certain products and services, and in Article 15 of Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September on the accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications, the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility, AAI (AIReF) declares the following:

1. Scope of application

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.airef.es/en/ and the subdomains managed by AIReF, as well as the mobile applications under its responsibility.

2. Compliance status

The AIReF website is partially compliant with the requirements of Royal Decree 1112/2018, due to the exceptions detailed in the following section.
The entity is in the process of adapting to the regulatory framework provided for by Law 11/2023, which is fully applicable from 28 June 2025.

3. Inaccessible content

  • Some documents published in PDF or other office formats, especially those prior to 20 September 2018, may not meet all technical accessibility criteria (e.g. lack of alternative text in images or incorrect semantic structure).
  • In certain modules or dynamic components, problems with contrast, keyboard focus or incorrectly nested HTML tags may be detected, affecting compatibility with screen readers.
  • Some multimedia content may lack subtitles or complete audio description.
  • In accordance with Article 7 of Royal Decree 1112/2018, AIReF may invoke the disproportionate burden exception for certain specific content.

AIReF will process your request in accordance with Article 12 of Royal Decree 1112/2018 and the provisions of Law 11/2023, guaranteeing the right of access to information in an accessible format.

6. Application procedure

  1. The user submits their request or complaint by the means indicated.
  2. The unit responsible for accessibility assesses the request and reviews whether any exceptions should be applied.
  3. A response will be provided within the legally established time frame.
    In the event of disagreement or lack of response, the user may file a complaint
    in accordance with Article 13 of Royal Decree 1112/2018 or the regulations that replace it.

AIReF applies the following technical and regulatory reference frameworks:

  • UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard
  • Royal Decree 1112/2018
  • Law 11/2023 (European Accessibility Act)

AIReF undertakes to periodically review and update the accessibility of its portal in line with regulatory and technological developments.

8. Additional information

This website is designed to be compatible with modern browsers and accessible from different devices. It is also designed for responsive viewing, meaning it is optimally displayed on tablets and mobile devices. On these devices, it is optimised for viewing in the latest versions. HTML5 and CSS3 technologies are used, and regular accessibility reviews are carried out.

This statement is published in an accessible format and a history of previous versions is maintained.
