AIReF presents the second edition of the Opinion on the sustainability of Public Administrations, which addresses sustainability from a comprehensive and independent perspective. The Opinion sets out AIReF’s view on the sustainability of public finances in an effort to provide a framework for decision-making in an environment of high uncertainty.
The Opinion shows, in its baseline scenario at constant policies, a marked upward path for debt due to population aging to reach a weight of 129% of GDP in 2050 and 181% in 2070.
