The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes a study on the Living Wage (IMV) that is one of three studies commissioned from the institution as part of the second phase of the 2022–2026 Spending Review, alongside studies on Temporary Disability (IT) and Official Development Assistance (ODA).
In this study, AIReF notes that the IMV has reached 20% of the population living in poverty, but could have reached 50%. AIReF conducts this analysis more than five years after the program’s launch and following the issuance of four previous opinions on this benefit. This evaluation analyzes the impact of the benefit on poverty reduction.
