The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) today published its study on Official Development Assistance (ODA), one of three studies commissioned from the institution as part of the second phase of the 2022-2026 Spending Review, alongside studies on Temporary Disability and the Minimum Living Income (IMV). In this study, AIReF analyzes the design, implementation, and results of Spanish international cooperation policy and proposes moving toward a more integrated, transparent, and results-oriented system.
The study is structured around three axes: the quantitative characterization of ODA, international comparison and evaluation of compliance with the principles of effectiveness, and analysis of the International and Temporary Protection Reception System.
