He collaborates in the analysis of the economic-financial situations of Local Governments, and performs specific programming work on projects undertaken in this field.
Luis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the Complutense University of Madrid, and joined the Higher Body of State Statisticians in 2007. Between 2008 and 2015, he worked at the National Statistics Institute in different areas of the National Accounts of Spain and for the European Commission (Eurostat) as a National Expert, specialised in the quality control of public finance statistics. He subsequently worked at the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Social Security, coordinating the area of socio-labour analysis and from 2019 to 2021 was Advisor on Public Finance Statistics at the International Monetary Fund for the Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Centre (PFTAC), headquartered in Fiji.
