The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes the Individual Assessment Report on Local Corporations (CCLL), which accompanies the Report on the Main Lines of the Public Administrations Budgets 2024. For the CCLL subsector, AIReF estimates a surplus of 0.2% in 2024.
In the medium-term horizon 2025-2028, AIReF estimates that the local sub-sector will consolidate an annual surplus of around 0.1% of GDP. This surplus is below that consolidated in the years prior to the suspension of fiscal rules, including 2019, a year particularly intensive in spending.
