Analyst of regional forecasts and demographics
Silvia designs algorithms, methodologies and tools that enable the analysis and forecasting of the performance of national macroeconomic aggregates and of the different Autonomous Regions, along with demographic phenomena.
Silvia holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Carlos III University of Madrid. She joined the High Service of State Statisticians in 2009. Before she joined AIReF, she worked as departmental head and Assistant Subdirector-General of the Directorate-General of Macroeconomic Analysis at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2014-2020), developing econometric models and applications for the analysis and forecasting of the main macroeconomic variables and, before that, undertaking different tasks at the National Statistics Institute, mainly for the Support Unit to the Directorate-General of Methodology, Quality and Information and Telecommunications Techniques.
