The Steering Committee of the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) met today at the AIReF head offices with the spokespersons of the Finance and Civil Service and Budget Committees of the Congress of Deputies to take stock of the institution’s activity, the economic and fiscal outlook and its evaluation activity.
Accountability is one of the three pillars of the institution, along with independence and transparency. By holding these meetings, AIReF fulfils the objective set out in its Strategic Plan 2020-2026 to strengthen accountability to Parliament and consolidate itself as a useful institution for all parliamentary groups.
