The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) held a meeting today at its headquarters between its Steering Committee and the spokespersons of the Congress of Deputies’ Finance and Civil Service, and Budget Committees to report on the institution’s activities.
Specifically, the Committee presented the economic and fiscal situation and outlook according to the institution, as well as the evaluation activity carried out by AIReF, reviewing the work in progress and the conclusions of the most recent studies.
AIReF is thus fulfilling the commitment included in its 2020-2026 Strategic Plan to strengthen accountability to Parliament and consolidate its role of service to all parliamentary groups. Accountability is one of its guiding principles, alongside independence and transparency.
