On October 14, 2020, the Governing Council of the Regional Government of Extremadura adopted an agreement requesting AIReF to draw up an action plan to carry out a study to review public spending policies (Spending Review) in certain areas of interest for the autonomous region of Extremadura. The action plan was approved on September 2, 2021.
Specifically, due to its budgetary importance and social impact, the study would cover the review of public spending on healthcare and the review of public spending on active employment policies and their effectiveness.
