The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) endorses the forecasts accompanying the draft budget for 2026 of the Valencian Community, which presents estimates of GDP deflator and employment growth, in terms of the Regional Accounts of Spain (CRE), for the period 2025-2026, and gross domestic product (GDP) in terms of volume for the period 2025-2027, which differ from the latest forecasts in the Spanish government’s macroeconomic scenario for the country as a whole.
For 2026, the Valencian Community estimates GDP growth in volume terms of 2.2%. This forecast is identical to that expected by AIReF, although it is slightly below the average forecast of other agencies for the region (2.4%).
