The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes the ‘Report on the 2022 Basic Budget Lines of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura’, in which it forecasts a deficit of 0.6% of GDP in 2022, coinciding with the reference rate indicated for the subsector and lower than that foreseen in the regional budget project, of 1.7%, and in its closing forecasts, of 1.1% of GDP.
AIReF, in the Extremadura Fundamental Lines 2022 report, improves the outlook for 2021, forecasting a deficit of 0.4% of GDP. The fundamental improvement is produced by the definitive distribution of the Extraordinary Deficit Fund published by Royal Decree 684/2021 of August 4, based on population criteria, which represented an additional 4 tenths of GDP over the figure initially estimated by AIReF, from 1 .1% of GDP.
