Analyst at President’s Office
Fernando manages AIReF’s participation at different fora, coordinates the communication tasks, monitors the budgetary analysis, and supports the AIReF Presidency and the divisions in their activities.
Fernando holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and belongs to the Corps of the State Administration of Trade and State Economists. Fernando headed the Technical Secretariat of the Spanish Government´s Delegated Commission for Economic Affairs, has been Senior Advisor for the Second Vicepresident and Finance Minister, and held various positions at the Spanish Treasury and State Secretary for Energy. Fernando has been Counsellor at the Spanish Permanent Representation to the EU and has worked as Seconded National Expert for the European Commission (DG FISMA). Before joining the Spanish Administration, Fernando worked as financial analyst for a large Spanish invesment firm.
