Analyst in the Public Debt Division
Is responsible for monitoring, analysing and evaluating the European Union’s economic governance framework in relation to fiscal policy, as well as the fiscal risks arising from climate change and their impact on debt sustainability.
He holds a degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from the Pontifical University of Comillas and, since 2014, has been a State Commercial Officer and Economist. Prior to joining AIReF, he worked at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise and the Ministry for Ecological Transition. Among other roles, he served as Deputy Assistant Director at the Treasury, within the Sub-Directorate for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Union (2015–2018), where he was responsible for matters relating to economic governance and EU fiscal rules. He has also served as an economic adviser in the office of the Third Deputy Prime Minister and as a negotiator with the EU and the UN at the Spanish Office for Climate Change (2022–2025).
