The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes the Report on the Basic Budget Lines 2022 of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, in which it forecasts a deficit of 0.8% of GDP in 2022, higher than the reference rate indicated for the subsector of the Autonomous Communities (CCAA).
In addition, AIReF worsens the outlook for 2021, forecasting a deficit of 0.6% of GDP, however, it is more optimistic than that forecast by the community, of 1.1% of GDP. The main discrepancy with the regional forecasts for 2021 and 2022 derives from the different register considered of the liquidation of the financing of the regional police in previous years.
