The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes the Report on the Basic Budget Lines 2022 of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, in which it forecasts a surplus of 0.4% of GDP in 2022, more favorable than the reference rate of the -0.6% of the GDP indicated for the subsector of the Autonomous Communities (CCAA).
In addition, AIReF maintains the outlook for 2021, forecasting a surplus of 0.2% of GDP, more optimistic than the regional estimates, which contemplate a deficit of 0.1% of GDP. The forecast of resources improves due to the definitive distribution of the Extraordinary Fund for the deficit published by Royal Decree 684/2021 of August 4, based on population criteria, which represented an additional 3 tenths of GDP over the initially estimated figure by AIReF. This favorable correction has been offset by other negative corrections.
