This report assesses the forecasts accompanying the 2024 draft budget of Castile-La Mancha, which presents estimates of GDP growth, in volume terms and at current prices, and of employment in terms of employed persons from Regional Accounting for the period 2023-2026 different from the latest estimates of the macroeconomic scenario for the national set.
Castile-La Mancha estimates GDP growth in volume terms of 2.4% in 2024. This forecast is within the range of forecasts made by others and between the 60th and 70th percentiles of AIReF’s estimates. The GDP evolution path proposed for the period 2025-2026 is also between the 60th and 70th percentiles of AIReF’s estimates. Moreover, the nominal growth expected for 2024 is virtually identical to that expected by AIReF.
