The Government of Aragon adopted an agreement at its meeting of March 11, 2020, whereby it requested AIReF to carry out a study of public spending in Aragon (Spending Review) in certain areas of special interest for the autonomous community, at the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Public Administration, and after deliberation. The action plan was approved on November 25, 2020.
The areas subject to the spending review in Aragón are pharmacy spending, the personnel policy of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports and the current funding model of the University of Zaragoza. AIReF published the studies on November 22, 2022.
