In this study AIReF analyzes the situation of financial cooperation in Spain, pays special attention to the Fund for the Promotion of Development (FONPRODE) and makes proposals to move towards a system that contributes to achieving the commitments acquired in development cooperation more efficiently and effectively.
This evaluation notes the existence of multiple inefficiencies in the strategic planning mechanisms of financial cooperation and in the design and management of FONPRODE. The institution makes 19 proposals to move towards a system that contributes to achieving more efficiently and effectively the commitments acquired in development cooperation.
