The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes the Study on the assessment of the early termination of the concession for the construction and operation of the road axis “Eix Transversal (C-25)” in Catalonia.
This study, requested by the Generalitat de Catalunya, aims to assess the overall impact on deficit and debt of the decision of early termination of the concession contract awarded to Cedinsa Eix Tranversal Concessionària de la Generalitat de Catalunya S.A (CEDINSA), on June 22, 2007, for the construction and operation of the “Eix Tranversal (C-25)” road axis. For this purpose, the financial and budgetary repercussions of the early termination of the concession are analyzed and compared with the scenario of continued non-reversion, which implies the payment of a shadow toll to CEDINSA.
