The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) endorses the forecasts accompanying Andalusia’s 2024 draft budgets. Andalusia presents estimates of gross domestic product (GDP) growth in volume terms and at current prices, of the implicit GDP deflator and of employment, for the period 2023-2024, different from the latest estimates of the macroeconomic scenario for the country as a whole.
AIReF endorses the macroeconomic forecasts for Andalusia for 2024. This community estimates GDP growth in volume terms of 2% in 2024. This forecast is in the central range of AIReF’s estimates, with a central forecast of 1.5%. Likewise, this community’s estimate is contained within the range of forecasts made by other agencies for the autonomous community. The nominal growth expected for the year 2024, the year for which the budgets are formulated, is also higher than AIReF’s forecast.
