The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) has to issue a report on the projects and fundamental lines of the budgets of the Public Administrations. This report analyzes the draft budgets of the Autonomous Regions and Local Governments and offers an overview of the budget forecasts of all the Public Administrations through the analysis of the Budget Plan submitted to Brussels.
AIReF includes in this report a medium-term scenario, up to 2026, in which it concludes that the margin for deficit reduction without adopting additional measures is exhausted, resulting in a level above the 3% limit set in the Stability and Growth Pact, while debt stands at around 109% of GDP.
