Margarita collaborates in the analysis of the economic-financial situation of Local Governments, and in performing specific programming work for projects undertaken in this field.
Margarita holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Complutense University of Madrid. She began her professional career in the private sector, engaged in the development of optimisation algorithms and the performance of statistical analysis. In 2004, she joined the State Service of Qualified Statisticians and then joined the High Service of State Statisticians in 2007. Since then, she has held different positions in the Sub-Directorate-General of Price Statistics and Family Budgets and in the Department of National Accounts at the INE. She has also worked as an associate professor in the Department of Statistics and Operating Research of the Faculty of Economic and Business Science at the Complutense University of Madrid.
