The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) today published reports on the Balearic Islands, the Basque Country, Navarre, the Region of Murcia, and the Valencian Community, as part of the publication of reports on budget execution, public debt, and the spending rule for the autonomous communities.
The reports analyze the budgetary and financial developments of each community and include AIReF’s forecasts on the balance, debt, and spending rule, as well as the recommendations issued by the institution where applicable.
They also include an assessment of the Economic-Financial Plans (PEFs) submitted by these communities following their failure to comply with the spending rule in 2025. AIReF analyzes the content of the plans and assesses whether the measures envisaged are sufficient to correct the observed deviations and bring public finances back into compliance with fiscal rules in the coming years.
The reports are available in the publications section of AIReF’s website.
