Graduate in Economics and Business Science from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1989. She belongs to the Higher Body of State Comptrollers and Auditors and Treasury Inspectors. Since November 2005 she was Deputy Director General for Budgetary Analysis and Institutional Organisation of the Regional Public Sector of the General Secretariat of Regional and Local Coordination, carrying out functions of supervision and monitoring of the Autonomous Regions in the area of budgetary stability and financial sustainability, as well as the processes of reorganisation of the regional public sector and financing mechanisms put in place by the State for payment to suppliers. Between 2000 and 2005, she was Executive Advisor in the General Intervention Board of the State Administration (IGAE) as coordinator of the preparation of the national accounts of the General Government sector, and from 1993 to 2000 she was Area Manager in the Sub-Directorate General for Economic Analysis and Accounts of the Public Sector within the IGAE.
