The Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF) publishes an Opinion on the Sustainability of the Social Security, in which it analyzes in depth the short and long-term problems of its financial situation.
The analysis and diagnosis of the sustainability of the Social Security is among the responsibilities of the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF). The Organic Law creating AIReF (O.L. 6/2013) gives it responsibilities for the analysis of the Social Security, both in the short and long term. In 2018 AIReF published its first demographic forecasts.
